After much research and at the recommendation of the TV/mobile/Nintendo guru Robert I went ahead and bought the LG 37" 1080p LCD TV. Caught the last day of the Memorial Day Weekend sale and got a good deal. 37" is perfect for my new larger bedroom.

LG is exactly the same as Samsung, just different packaging and few hundred dollars cheaper!!
LG, Samsung, and Sony use the same LCD from Samsung. LG wins because the put cheaper price and it has the same feature as Sharp's OPC. It adjusts the brightness of the TV with a light sensor.
