Vibrations

Been feeling vibrations from the wheels for a while but was too lazy/busy to have the wheels balanced. Finally took it in and got the balancing done also picked up a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts to proper spec. Discovered that 80ft/lbs is a lot tighter than I previously thought (the lugs were hand tightened before), hopefully under torquing the lugs was the cause of the vibrations. Will see after driving it on the freeway on my gym run tomorrow.

Next G35 Mod

I know I shouldn't be spending any more money on the car, but couldn't help with ordering a grounding kit. the 10 wire performance kit is custom made for 5AT coupes, suppose to improve throttle response and sharpen gear shifts. The person that makes the kit is in Canada, so had to send an international negotiable money order for it.

M50sv-A1 has arrived!!

Finally got my Asus M50sv-A1. Ordered it with XP installed and tuned (paid extra), but got virus from downloading a fake program in less than an hour after opening the box. Tried reinstalling XP but it wasn't running well, so installed the factory Vista Home Premium (what I was avoiding in the first place). Not the best new computer I've had, but it's an awesome machine none the less. I even came with a free carrying case and optical mouse.

BMW V12 850CI

Saw a BMW 850CI driven by a lady when I was looking out the window at the gym today. Never knew this car existed until now, really good looking car despite it's age. 300hp V12 engine with quad exhausts, produced between 1989-1999, these cars still go for $20k~$30k!! Must have been ridiculously expensive new.

The one I saw was silver and have some body kit mods on it, looked really really good.

Autostitch

Came across this wonder yet simple software in the magazine called Autostitch. Basically you can take a bunch of individual pictures of a particular scene and the software will put it together seamlessly into a panoramic view. Tried it out myself and is ridiculously easy to use.

Steve you should definitely try this.

Where's my Asus?

Finally found out the order status of my Asus M50SV-A1. It has been shipped out today (Thursday), which is a little slow considering I placed the order over the weekend. According to UPS the package is expected to arrive on Thursday 4/24, but having experienced the local UPS' efficiency, or lack of, I'd be lucky to receive it next week at all. Can't wait to get my hands on this awesome spec'd laptop!

2008 Mercedes C300

Took my dad's car in for service at Mercedes again (the car's 1 year old, went back for service 5 times already!!). Got the new C300 as a loaner. The new C-series handles well, still lacks power, and has cheap looking interior (compared to other luxury cars). One feature I really liked is the integrated bluetooth connection, called home to test it out, very nice & clear.

Notice the license plate? Guy at the dealership told me "you got 69", I was like huh? Oh 69!

GTA IV

GTA IV is set to be released on April 29th. Just pre-ordered the game online to make sure I'll get my hands on a copy on the 29th. I think I've spent too much money online this month............

Asus M50SV-A1 Update

I did it, in my drunken state last night I did it. Ordered the laptop after coming home from drinking. Was planning on checking out the local stores first, but planned on ordering anyway. Hopefully I won't regret this.

New laptop?

Noticed how hot and noisy the laptop has been running, which didn't improve after I cleaned the cooling fan. Think it's time for a new laptop. Bought my first Asus laptop over 2 years ago (current laptop) and was very happy with it, only problem is that it can't handle some of the new games & software, but that's how computers are, it's understandable. I hardly ever shut down the Asus (always downloading something), so 2+ years is actually pretty good.

Been looking at the Asus M50SV-A1, with the latest chipset and 512MB video memory (video memory is one of my top priorities). Still debating if I should keep the default Vista Home Premium or pay extra to have XP Home Premium installed. The total damage should be around $1500, will be making the decision in the next few days.

Movie Realization Figures

The Movie Realization Figures ordered from Ebay came in today, just as good as I expected. Would be cheaper if I get it in Japan, but the last time I saw these I was too lazy to bring it back, most likely still be too lazy on my next trip. Spiderman/Black Spiderman, Kamen Rider 1 & 2.
