LG 37" 1080p LCD HDTV

After much research and at the recommendation of the TV/mobile/Nintendo guru Robert I went ahead and bought the LG 37" 1080p LCD TV. Caught the last day of the Memorial Day Weekend sale and got a good deal. 37" is perfect for my new larger bedroom.

G-Meet 5/11/08

Had another G-meet, turnout is a bit smaller because everyone realized it's on Mother's Day at last minute. Did our quick shoot at the new Nordstrom parking lot before we got kicked out by security.

Grounding Gear 5AT 10 Wire Kit

Had to buy a floor jack and jack stand for this install (transmission ground). Took a total of 4 hours for a supposedly 2.5 hr job (took lots of time reading instructions). First time putting a car on jacks, made sure it was stable before getting under it (also for the 1st time).

Results of the install are improved throttle response and gear shifts, also engine idle is lower and much smoother.

Got my grounding kit!

Received the 10 wire grounding kit in the mail today, look at all that Canadian stamps!!

PS3 Blues

Here we go again, exact same thing I went through in December. PS3 froze while playing GTA IV, disc drive stopped reading all disc formats. Turned PS3 off for few hours and tried again, it's alive.......for 5 minutes, system froze again. Now it won't even read the disc long enough to get past the loading stage. Everything else works fine, just the Blue Ray disc drive isn't working.

Called up Sony today and told them this is actually the replacement unit I received in February (after the disc drive on my 1st unit crapped out soon after warranty period expired), they have agreed to perform a "one-time-only" courtesy replacement since my original warranty has long passed. Would this be the same "one-time-only" replacement they sent me last time? Hopefully 3 times is the charm, can't take any more of this hardware crashes, which always seems to occur when I'm playing the latest awesome game that I've just bought (last time was Call of Duty 4, awesome!!)
